“yeah. nah, this is not another song, man. i just wanna thank you and just see how you’re doing so far on the album. at this point you’ve heard a few songs, and some of those songs may have had another song before the song, and if that happened either before or after the song, what that means is i’m taking the information from that song that was playing at the beginning or the end ** which is from my previous album #see4 ** and this new song, i’m giving you further information based on what i said on that song. so if you are unfamiliar with those songs, go back and check out curt kennedy’s #see4. i wanna tell you where we headed right now, ’cause the album is getting ready to make a shift. i wanna make sure we understand it because so much of the conversation about race and justice and stuff has been polarized, so i wanna make something really clear right here. i have no issue with preaching the gospel. in my mind, there’s no such thing as biblical justice versus social justice or social gospel versus biblical gospel. i think those dichotomies are absolutely wrong. here’s the problem, here’s what’s happening. the issue is not who is preaching the gospel accurately, the issue is who is accurately evaluating the fruit of gospel preaching. okay? so that’s what i’m doing. i have no po ** i’m not suggesting that talking about issues of race should somehow supplant the gospel. what i’m saying is let’s take an evaluation of 400 years of gospel preaching and observe the fruit, right? the scriptures call us to observe, to examine ourselves, see if we’re in the faith. so what i’m saying is let’s examine 400 years of christianity in america and ask ourselves, how did we get here? that’s the real issue, not the gospel versus the social justice gospel. it’s let’s evaluate the fruit of gospel preaching, and that’s what we getting ready to do. so for the rest of this album, i’mma take you on a journey, trying to answer this question: how does a christian nation, 400 years later, end up in the place that we are now? i’m not saying everybody’s gonna agree; i don’t need you to agree. i just need you to listen and go on this journey with me. this is an albumentary. curt kennedy. let’s work.”
