for the first time since the inception of history as he knows it
man will face an unknown so vast and limitless
that he’ll not immediately fathom the parade
this new world will thrust him into

man, softened by the media*archism and comforts of the old civilization
who tries to claim the hill
will find himself once again at the mercy of the natural reigning

through his strivings to circumvent the dawning of evolution with science
man thought to exclude himself from the natural order
and these events are simply the hand of god
forcing the dawning of evolution back into effect

such a cataclysm is the ultimate catalyst for this transition —
day zero, the unleashing of a new epoch
the genesis of a new genetic evolution for mankind

should he eventually emerge from the wasteland of his remains
he’ll be divided as a species
fragmented by the nemesis that’s befallen these souls beneath the earth

i’m not a prophet
it’s not for me to say with any certainty
what’ll fully awake mankind, once he finally grasps these inevitabilities
the ultimate question’s, no doubt:
what power do we take from here?
but who’s to know what will emerge in society once again
fall victim to its own
follies?
or… or have we been
lured into it and ruled by…

not any case of peering through the fog of indecision
for it’s not a question of which path to take, but a question of where each path may lead
