sanctified. to be set apart as or declared as holy. how can we be sanctified? by surrendering our lives to christ? romans 3:23 says that we have all fallen short of the glory of god. that means that me and you have a sinful nature inside of us, and sin is so serious to a holy god that he demands the death penalty for our sin. even through this, god sought to make a way out for us to be reconciled with him. he sent his only son, jesus christ. he lived on this earth without sin, performed miracles, died a brutal death on the cross, and rose from the grave 3 days later. if we repent of our sin, which means to turn from our sin and turn to the cross and believe in him, this is where being sanctified begins
