from boston over fifty miles away!
like when the green line came to medford
now fall river and new bedford
have a train of the mbta!

trains last ran here in 1958!
since then, the line was only used for freight
the new haven could not afford
but now mbta’s restored
the service down to this part of the state!

the single track of the old colony
imposes limits of capacity!
east taunton shuttle is the answer
to the other branch you transfer
so both lines are served acceptably!

this is phase one, but phase two may extend
at some point in the future, don’t know when
through stoughton, easton, raynham, taunton
that’s what everybody wants, and
someday we will see it to the end!

years in the making, now deliver
to new bedford and fall river!
