the vision surpass dream
once a shade, corporeal
what was ghostlike; made real
these unseen beings
speak a foreign tongue
a language not yet heard
but one i understood
the speakers all foretell
the march of h*llish fiends
atop a tower i give watch
where sleep dares crawl once more
marble now replaced with mire
plateau replaced with swamp
dream leaves me in this place
lost here without a way
to return from this dream
to escape the encroaching dark
to reclaim my marble home
