five years old my grandma asked me what i would like to be
when i grew up and needed a job the answer was easy
i wanted to be a musician what kind of irony

i started playin’ the trumpet but without great success
then i got my first drumset but my beats were all a mess
so i bought myself a guitar tried to play a simple song
the chords were not that difficult and so i sang some words along

i wrote songs about my family about friends and about school

and that was round about the time that i finally realized

the years went by and i have met many different bands
spent 1000 of miles on the road and stoo many hands
shared my life with many people that made many promises
met many girls i liked a lot but i won´t fell in love with

i have seen so many countries i’ve played so many towns
i have joined a bunch of parties have seen all those hangarounds
all those lonesome and bored longings for what they might never get
but when their favourit song was played i was sure of what i’d always say

and most of all i want everyone of you to clap your hands

and move your feet
