this is a song i finished writing around this time last year with a span of 4 months
at first it was kind of like waving a white flag

like trying to fight for like* power in a really bad friendship i was in

and the* the song was a depiction of how it felt being let down by a new person every other week
and then like deciding i was better off alone
so uhh
most of the friends i did have during that time were like only around if we were*

i’m trying figure out a way to word it, i’m sorry
and thеn
i associated my self worth with that stuff which made me feel like really bad
and then
some people didn’t know how to mind their own business
so i ended up getting invited places
and then i was like “ok maybe life isn’t that bad”
so um
i was still writing this song during that frame of time when i was hanging out with people
and you can kind of like tell where i start, y’know, becoming more open minded
and kind of like accepting of the community
so i guess it uh
unintentionally turned into a leelanau love song
