i read a quote recently
supposedly by dostoevsky
that says, “you were destined for me, perhaps as a punishment”
and it’s really stuck with me for some reason
i’ve thought about it quite a lot

maybe because it’s informed a lot of the choices i’ve made musically
my interpretation of it was
there’s a lot to be learned from the things you experience
and the things you go through
that’s what this album is
it’s trying to turn those things, good or bad
into something worth hearing
