then the robber caught hold of the saucy young sailor
a blow like a poleaxe felled him to the ground

and now i will endeavour to return it again”

so then both they stripped and like tigers they skipped
and they fought life for life like the soldiers in field
but the ninety*eighth meeting it was their completing
and the jolly bold robber the sailor has k!lled

and down then he looked on the blood*stained old robber

“for if i had just lifted a thousand bright guineas
