and in between, a planet swerves
awkward and bizarre

it seeks the smaller twins
and in its wake a satellite
a moon for our kin
wobbly seasons now ensue
tempered freeze and thaw
as we swirl about the moon
and ever closer to it draw
conjoin
withdraw
our vessel set to smash
brace to bore
into the crater of our crash
towards this pockmarked ball of ice we fall
below its crust a liquid ocean calls
no return now
we came so far
in ice encased
to crash and burn now
our ship must crack the frozen waste
collision
catharsis of an arcane vision
havoc bursts
into a million shards we shatter
get submersed
into gaping faults we spatter
down we squirm
escape the flash*freeze of the void
like undead worms
that refuse to be destroyed
and we’re through
a new world
soon under our control
the mi*go’s gifts
our gospel to extol
a drifting island grows
feeding on light and freedom
keeping each other close
towards our suns we’re seeding
at last, the surface calls
where billowing stars adorn our reign
