all those great scores were made for those days more simplistic

baulder’s gate dark alliance when it was new
eyes glued, to the tube. up before school to play it
time flew, it was true. when roamin’ the city and slayin’
any enemy in between victory it was so fun
can’t believe that i still play a game that was made in 01
i’m a nerd i know it, and i wrote this song to show it
i’m not ashamed to admit, i love virtual heroics
let’s fast forward a bit to those lan parties
those xbox, with a red dot, get a head-shot man parties, yeah
the first one i attended i was 14
we played halo 2 until 4 in the morning
we had 4 systems, 4 teams, each on a separate tv
it sort of ticked me off, cuz i could not cheat and peak at their screens
it was shortly after that i made a tough decision
halo won me over, so my friendship with playstation ended /=

take me back to when i got that 360
for christmas it was splendid i hooked it up to the tv quickly/
i put in halo 3 and connected to live
all those lan parties pretty much stopped ’cause now we could play online
a year later i got call of duty 4
and put halo on the back burner for that modern war, yeah
that was a game-changer, pun intended
i got my 10th prestige, so men could see that i was committed
fast forward to halo 3: odst
i was in line with friends at gamestop for the midnight release
we took it home and played ’til 8am without any sleep
but we accomplished our mission, the whole campaign was beat
yeah, those are the days, that i really miss
today i have an xbox one, yet rarely play on it
because i’m married and have a baby, don’t really have much time
but i am thankful for those memories locked inside my mind
