and the rappers that i idolized
influenced my mind negatively
with the crime that they glamorised
i ain’t sayin’ they’re responsible for what i did

and it wasn’t just me that was affected
it was everyone in the crew that i repped with
it was everyone around the way that i grew up with
some are on my dance, some are locked up doin’ bits
and this is not an isolated incident
it happens every day, in every hood, every city, every burb
music is more powerful than people think it is
it can be used for bad, or for good
