it was probably a song you heard on the radio the night before that you really liked and you thought you wrote it
but this song woke me up, i was in vegas, so i woke up and these lyrics and melody together woke me up and, went and took a dump and rec*

i mean, it* i’ve written many lyrics on toilet paper, it’s not the first time

and i went and i recorded on my phone exactly the way i remembered it
luckily, it must’ve been like the right time in the sleep cycle and i woke up, i was like “boom! i remember this! got it! boom!”
and so, i made a demo of it and then most of that demo ended up on the record because i couldn’t duplicate it
