no more lies to myself on what i’m about

for a long time i took a break, took a step back
wondering where i stood i almost quit rap (really?)
ever since i was a kid i knew that i was different
i always battled right from wrong to fact and fiction
and even considered change in religion had agnostic envisions
i didn’t know it, but i done saw my vision
it hit me hard like an oncoming collision

for quite some time i lost the inspiration to write
until i was sitting on that ping pong table in the middle of the night
downed a couple drinks, such a beautiful sight
it ended pretty dramatically but, sh-t i was feeling alright
i never danced a day in my life until i met a girl like you
same taste in music i was looking to pursue
but i knew my boundaries, and i knew my limits
sh-t, if i could go back now i would do a lot of things that i didn’t
