okay, welcome to the brand new school year
as we probably already figured out
the 2020*2021 academic year is really gonna be
like no other year
and if you’re starting to say
“yeah, you said that last spring mr. field”
and, that was last year
umm, this year is completely different
by now you should have received a whole bunch of email and guidance from the district
i will be sending some email out soon
but the short answer is the expectations whеn we come back to school next week
arе
the same as if you were right here in the classroom
now, i know and you know you’re not right here in the classroom
so there are going to be some challenges
there are going to be some frustrations
and there are going to be some things that we sort of have to iron out
as we go along
all of that being said, the expectation level for you
especially seniors this year
is that you complete all of the normal, ah, work related to your classes
and advisory requirements, and everything else, um, that you would complete any other year in order to be able to graduate
if you’re freaking out about that, or you’re wondering, “wow, how is that gonna* happen,”
with all of this distance learning and all of the challenges that come with it…
don’t worry, you can relax
we’ve got you, i personally will take care of you
in my classroom
n0body is going to fall through the cracks
n0body is going to get left behind
and everybody who shows up, and actually puts the work in
to do what needs to be done
can look forward to either graduating or moving on to your junior year
umm, in the spring, whichever’s more appropriate
hopefully by that point, you’re sitting back here in the classroom
and we can sort of try to get back to some sort of normal
but as we’ve all learned by now, you can’t really count on that
so, i just wanted to check in really quick, say h*llo, welcome you
to either us history 1 if you are one of my soph0m*res
or cwp if you’re one of my seniors
those of you in cwp
many of you are returning
umm, from when you had me your soph0m*re year
i’m very much looking forward to our time together
i’m very much looking forward to getting back in here
and getting down to what it is we do
in the meantime, over the distance platform
i will do my best to keep it interesting and keep it fresh
and kinda give you that same classroom experience that
you’ve come to know and expect, um
from me and the courses that i teach
if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to email

i will be sending out a welcome letter that says a lot of the same thing in written format
and then as we get closer to monday
uh, i’ll be sending out some specific instructions
we actually have monday off, now that i think about it
so it’ll be tuesday, um, that you will be expected to come in for the first time
that, of course will be page 4, 5, and 6

in the meantime, enjoy your last week of summer vacation
