a couple of hours later i was puking down of the cat walk
i tried to stumble back and face planted on the asphalt
next morning no surprise i didn′t feel too well
did a trouser check was surprised it didn’t sh*t myself

you solve a lot of problems with the beers and the bottles here
′cause you’ll be hurting but your weakness won′t get coddled here
’cause when it′s a buck 20 and your rockin’ gear
you gotta respond to contact like you ain’t got no fear
so recognize the science and don′t ever try to hide it
it′s a really good reason you’re desensitized to violence
so every time you fight and then you jeopardize your life
you gotta do it for your brothers to you left and to your right

diggin’ fightin′ holes and livin’ in them for week
in the cold, in the rain and gettin′ no type of sleep
to prepare yourself for what you’ll be doin′ overseas
and hopefully your time will go much smoother than mine
there were times were i really felt like i was losin’ my mind
you’ll get criticized by people that just wouldn′t last day
and every other month another friend will pass away

i′m trying to keep you positive about your time here in the corps
’cause we lose more to suicide than we do to the war
