a shooting at a church in charleston happened just about an hour ago, about nine pm
according to the official twitter account of the charleston police department
apparently, an address that corresponds to the emmanuel ame church; the emmanuel african methodist episcopal church on calhoun st
on scene right now, we do have some reports that he stood up trying to steal a red van to getaway
again, if you are in that area of rosewood and 160th, please avoid it, again, still looking for that suspect at large

uh, was that school still in session; one, and could you describe the kind of neighborhood that it’s in, is it a busy area?
it’s a busy area, overland park here is a really nice neighborhood, as we were going around, if you weren’t sure something was going on, you’d see people walking their dog, getting their boats ready for the fourth of july
now luckily, no kids were in school or were on the playground
and that’s why the construction workers are out here, contract workers are out here, they’re actually doing some renovations to the playgrounds
so luckily, no kids in this area, at the playgrounds, or in school at this time
