“father lord. why did you abandon me? this what jesus must have felt like on the cross. i thought i was doing fine. what happened? did i pray wrong? where did i go wrong lord? guide me. give me a sign! i’ll do whatever it takes lord. please. the holy movement needs you. i need you. clark needs you. we need you lord. please. show us your mercy. amen.”

when he said “amen.” he saw a vision. what appeared to be an angel wearing a celestial armor with big feathery wings and a bright aura that emanated from his body. the armor had gold plating, with designs that looked unlike anything he had ever seen before. the angel was a tall red haired white male, with golden eyes. he had a spear in his right hand and a shield on his left hand. a crown with red jewels on his head. he looked at the angel’s sandals that was next to him when he opened his eyes after praying. he gasped. he wasn’t aware anyone else was in the room. the angel then introduced himself

“i am gabriel, messenger of the lord. fear not mark. this is the purpose of the lord. he has not abandoned you. he thanks you for preaching the gospel and healing the sick and weary. many people have already converted since the beginning of your ministry. the reasons why the lord hasn’t answered your prayer this time is because the temple has been desecrated. unholiness has emanated from your altars. one of your members believes that he is the one worthy of praise. seeks to be worshiped as god. this is unacceptable and god has stopped all miracles from flowing while this is going on. don’t forget to fast during this time of tribulation, the devil is sneaky and will do anything to sn-tch the glory of the lord to himself. you must not give up. pray more, fast more. the miracles will flow as soon as this crisis is dealt with. the message of the lord has been delivered. blessed be his name. farewell.”

“as soon as he said goodbye, the angel disappeared from before me.” said pastor mark to clark before the meeting. “this is because of that leonardo guy. he’s the one to blame for this! he’s the only big change in the ministry we’ve made. it has to be it. we have to get rid of him.” pastor mark followed his vision and his heart that revealed to him it was all leonardo’s fault. this wasn’t because miracles just don’t happen regularly, it was because of insubordination and sin! right before the service started, leonardo was getting ready to load up his things upon the stage to begin the worship session when he was interrupted by pastor mark

“young man. don’t bother loading your things up on the altar tonight. you’ve made quite a mess of our ministry and the lord has revealed to me that the miracles aren’t happening because of your insubordination and view of things. i’m suspending you from the worship team until you fix your heart. that’s it. final.” he said that and turned away and leonardo followed him while he was walking away shouting at him

“what god doesn’t heal someone that cries out to him and it’s my fault? how is that supposed to play out? this has nothing to do with me and my wonderful music. what about the stage? i contributed to build this ministry. i deserve to play tonight.” he justified his position based on his merit

“no you don’t! god needs your holiness. not your money, not your “wonderful music” not your pride. he needs your whole entire heart in order for this to work. we had a wonderful opportunity to heal, and we lost it because of your folly! i won’t hear any more of this. pack your things and go! repent before the day comes when you can do it no more.”

he sent leonardo out and the members that had stuck with the ministry looked down at him as if it was solely his fault that the healing didn’t happen

“this goes for all of you remaining members! we must be holy in order for god’s miracles to happen. that’s why it’s called the holy movement. we need to be holy. the angel of the lord made it quite clear. we have to fast and repent in order for us to be able to see god’s miracles again. amen?”
“amen” the congregation agreed

leonardo left angry and distraught. “stupid religious people. they don’t understand that there are no miracles! you want something to happen you have to make it happen! praying doesn’t do a thing.” he told clark in school the next day
“i can’t talk to you anymore leonardo. i’m sorry. i have to focus on being holy. otherwise god’s not going to heal anymore.” clark now was distancing himself from leonardo. his opinion on his friend had completely changed because of the vision that pastor had told him

“unbelievable? now you too? i thought you were my friend. that’s why i don’t like religious people. you only like the people if they follow the same beliefs as you.”

clark just ignored him and kept writing
