almost lost my life i’m getting stuck inside my thoughts
can’t believe i got hit twice thanking god i can still walk
legs was burning, numbing in pain, my mind going insane
blood running down my pants, happy i got another chance
the trauma, i close my eyes repeat the scene
can’t get no sleep, i’m in between
4am, look at my screen
like ain’t no way that’s me up on tha news
while i’m bleeding out, staying calm i can’t go i refuse

i got hit up i’m far from home
had to call my granny, tell her i’m shot, she asked what’s going on
no time to give no answers
hate to stress her she got cancer
all i thought bout was i can’t go out like this
all on news channels
and mentally i don’t know how i feel, want peace
i was innocent in a crossfire, blood on hospital sheets
hooked me up, 6 different nurses,tourniquet on left leg hurting
vitals normal the whole time
blood pressure heart rate it was perfect
till the police questioned me im overwhelmed know they seen
but i got treated like a suspect, i controlled my self esteem
remember laying there all alone
tryna see where i went wrong
no phone calls could be made out
i’m hurting inside but holding on
here i am 1 week later i’m just resting my mind
can’t even pick up the mack book
beats ain’t sounding right
they like give it some time
but i’m so used to going in when i’m hurting
so why is it different this time
but now i’m picking up the pen so it gotta be worth it
im writing my story in rhymes
so many emotions
don’t wanna be in the open
got into therapy, i need to vent
to deal with the copin
i didn’t deserve it, still here i gotta purpose
gotta capitalize off this situation but i can’t act like i’m not traumatized
