in italy a roma couple was accused of kidnapping a 4 to 5 year old young girl. the couple claim that they had adopted her with the permission of the biological mother. the little girl is called maria. the police first wondered if she was the couple daughter because was really light skinned and they were dark skinned like a typical roma. to make sure they were correct they were done a dna test that proved they weren’t the parents. the couple has to report to court on monday to solve the case. the police put the little girls picture in public to get some information of her parents to see if they gave her for adoption. a spokesman for the charity taking care of maria said sunday she is in a group home where “she is doing much better.”

the boys that play barefoot in mexico won the championship at a international festival of mini- basketball held in argentine. the coach of the mexican team says that when the boys play barefoot that reflects on their poverty in the state of oaxaca. the boys always play barefoot because they don’t have the money to buy them shoes. 54 teams from various argentine provinces and countries such as mexico, bolivia, brazil, chile, ecuador, uruguay and venezuela, partic-p-ted in the tournament. a total of 8,000 kids were part of the championship. the triqui children-training program began its operations in 2009 with 500 kids. nowadays, it trains around 2,500 children with focuses on: psychology, leadership and “laughter therapy,” according to coach zuniga

a sheriff’s deputy mistakenly thought he saw a teen carrying an -ssault rifle on a california street this week and shot him dead, authorities said. it turned out the 13-year-old boy was carrying two fake guns, a replica ak-47 and a fake hand gun, the santa rosa county sheriff’s office said. school officials in the northern california city of santa rosa identified the teen as andy lopez cruz. two sonoma county deputies spotted the boy holding what appeared to be an -ssault rifle tuesday afternoon, the santa rosa county sheriff’s office said. they yelled at the teen to put the weapon down. he had his back to them and began turning around towards the officers, the statement said. a deputy shot the teen. the teen was handcuffed, and the officers called for an ambulance, the statement said. deputies found the fake rifle on the ground near the boy. the bogus handgun was tucked in his waistband
