(while lev went down into the cellars, ezio went to the stables where the brown horses of the city guards were kept. at this point, he failed to grasp the plan that lev had in mind, but reluctantly set fire to the stables. within moments the horses started to panic and shortly after that they broke loose. as the horses ran into an alley nearby, ezio turned around and hurried to the cellars.)
(it had been a long day, and lucy was about to get some sleep. she walked to the front door, and was about to turn the lock when she heard a low, rumbling sound. wondering what caused the sound, lucy opened the door and glanced into the alley. as soon as she saw what was coming towards her, she screamed and jumped back in the doorway.)
(pounding hooves resounded through the narrow alley. against a background of thick black smoke they appeared. the horses had broken free.)
(meanwhile, four riders (dressed in black, riding black horses) appear in the city. rushing through the streets of ark, they pause for nothing and no one. suddenly one of the riders turns his head: a thundering sound is coming from an alley on the left. he raises his hand. they pause.)
(within moments they find their path obstructed by a horde of brown horses p-ssing by. the leader screams in rage, for they are forced to wait until the brown horses have p-ssed. he knows their time is precious, and they can not fail the amb-ssador again.)
(in the cellars:)

they’ll be here any minute now, i know that they will
since you’ve lit a fire all the horses will
panic and break free, and they will head east
barricade the way for the riders in the streets
who will be delayed so we can reach the tunnel
there’s only one way: the sewers, there we run off
out of the city and into the light
