but when he finally came home
his little sister came out
and threw her arms around his neck
had tears in her eyes
she told him these words right here:

she said she waited on a long time
she told him mother waited
oh, she waited with tears in her eyes sometime
she waited with sorrow in heart sometime
but you waited a little too long
his sister told him the same words again, she said:

the tears rolled down his eyes
sorrow was all in his heart
but every time he looked his sister in the eye
she was the same thing she’s saying:
