the sound of shattering glass broke the eerie silence of the dimly lit bathroom. the young man looked at himself in the mirror, his reflection darkened by the shadow of his alter ego lurking behind him
“you’re nothing without me,” the alter ego whispered menacingly. “i am the better version of you, the one you always wanted to be. admit it.”
the young man scoffed at the suggestion, but as he washed his face in the sink, he felt an electric current running through his body. suddenly, he felt woozy, as if his head was spinning. something, or someone, was taking over him
he looked at his reflection in the mirror once again, but this time he saw it clearly: his alter ego, a shadowy figure with piercing eyes filled with malicious intent
the young man tried to fight it, but it was futile. the alter ego had taken over his body and mind completely. he was a mere spectator, unable to control his own actions
slowly, the alter ego started to reveal its true colors. it was not just a darker, better version of the young man. it was
in front of the mirror, a man stood alone
his eyes peering deep into his very soul
but as he gazed, a chill crept through his bones
for from the glass, a new presence was born
the man’s reflection twisted and writhed
a dark aura emanating all around
and in a burst of sinister life
the alter ego was breaching through the ground
it sn*tched at the man with wild abandon
wrapping around his very core
and as it consumed, the man began to falter
his instincts crushed forevermore
the alter ego sneered through the mirror
a grotesque grin upon its face
as it took hold of the man’s every fear
seizing control of his heart and his pace
days turned to weeks, as night gave way to day
his world became a twisted, dark maze
and in his soul, he knew he’d forever stay
trapped in his own reflection’s wicked craze
no longer a man, but a vessel possessed
he watched through the mirror as his body was used
and as the alter ego took over, the man stood oppressed
his life energy forever abused
so beware the mirror, and what it will reveal
lest you conjure up your own dark twin’s appeal
for the price of possession is surely too steep
a fate worse than death, forever to keep
